REVIEWS AND TESTIMONIALS
“…this ensemble of six plays instruments live while singing... and when I tell you they sound amazing, I mean it... and there's some a cappella harmonizing in Almost Heaven that I swear constitutes some of the best singing I’ve ever heard. Kudos to [Crotzer Scartascini] for an ovation-worthy job.”

”...conductor Connor Crotzer Scartascini brings his small orchestra into superb play.”
-J. Peter Bergman, the Berkshire Edge [The Secret Garden, Mac-Haydn Theatre July 2026]
"The five musicians, meanwhile, somehow play like a band of sixteen, doing marvelous work under music director Connor Crotzer Scartascini and assistant Ethan Swanson. They give the score genuine lift and momentum without ever swallowing the singers. It is one of the pleasures of a Mac-Haydn night, the way the music keeps sounding larger than the pit that makes it."
-Steven Favreau, BroadwayWorld
[The Addams Family, Mac-Haydn Theatre June 2026]
